Tom Tykwer contributes the cinema again by his next movie which is "The Princess and the Warrior". It is a drama with Franka Potente (again - a nurse called Sissi) and Benno Fürmann who acts very charming but mad soldier in the movie ("Bodo"). It beings with a letter from an old friend to Sissi and the letter is asking for Sissi's help for inheritance after her mom's death. Sissi goes out with a patient to go to the bank but a truck hit her accidentally (it is becasue of Bodo). When Bodo is escaping from men that follow him, he gets under the truck and sees her while she is not able to breath. He applies an emergency to rescue her life and leaves her in hospital. Sissi have stayed in hospital for long time by obsessing with her rescuer (don't be deceived her angelic face, she is also obsessed) and tried her best to find her guy, Bodo (when she finds him, he refuses her). Walter, brother of Bodo, tells Sissi the story about Bodo's wife and the reasons of his rude/insane actions. Anyway, Sissi is ready to do anything insane for him (she also does). The last scene (Sisi and Bodo hold hands of each other and jump from the roof) is a wonderful scene of the movie by slow motion and surprising end. The audience waits for their death but they fall in a small pond and manage to escape from there. Well, it seems they will live together for long time.
The film has the belief of destiny and nothing would be coincidence, yet, it emphasizes on the decisions of people will change their future and destiny. We can see the great success of Franka Potente in each movie since she played very different characters.
